A CHOLA ADVENTURE                                                                         - ANU KUMAR

Well to start off, hi this is the first time I am blogging about a book. So lets start....

I think the author has a done pretty good job in writing this book. First of all I loved the plot of the story, every inch and corner of the story was exciting. Each chapter was mysterious on its own. Second ly the story highlighted the life of brave Indian girl which is not too common in many stories.Next I guess the story had a purpose(I hope you get it).Start reading and you will find that the book is very intresting.
So lets move to the characters......
Lets see, there is Raji, her grandmother, her dad, the king, her exiled mother, Rajendra Chola, his cousin Ananta , Ananta's dad Gopinath, and many others.
So, Raji the protagonist lives with her grandmother. Her mom Menaka, was banished from the kingdom and her father who followed her to the seas returned to Raji safely.
Keshavan teaches Raji to make toy sculptures. On one occasion the crown prince Rajendra, son of the king Rajaraja Chola, gets to see her beautiful sculptures. Impressed by her sculptures, Rajendra convinces his father and Raji’s family, that Raji should move to the palace. Raji moves, but misses her family. Rajendra and his cousin Ananta, keep her company.
One stormy night Raji saves a Chinese sailor at sea. She names him Liu and keeps him hiding.
A Nataraja statue goes missing that Keshavan sculpts for him self, goes missing. There is the death of the high priest inside the Brihadeeswara temple under construction(death or murder?).
The story gets more mysterious with the missing prince  returning and accusing Liu to be a smuggler and the murderer of the astrologer.
Want to know the answers for all these mysterious questions. Read this amazing book to find out.
